Bar Harbor KOAMeet Your Hosts![]() Camping is an inspiring part of young Americans lives; just ask Ron Frederick, manager of the Bar Harbor/Woodlands KOA in Maine. Ron was five years old when he got his first tent and started making camp fires and he's been doing it ever since. After enjoying a diverse career in entertainment and travel Ron was destined to make a transition that would realize his youthful ambition of taking on his own campground. He took a job at Yellowstone National Park in April 2002 and that was followed up by campground assignments in North Carolina and Florida. Then in January 2004 Ron decided he wanted to be a part of the wide range of activities KOA had to offer and he accepted the position of General Manager at the Boston/Cape Cod KOA . Ron had years of experience working with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises and remembers thinking "KOA campgrounds offer a variety of activities much like the cruise ships do," says Ron. "I love being able to take part in all the activities and memories shared here." Since moving to Bar Harbor in 2007 Ron has experienced not only the fun inside the campground, but also outside as well. Bar Harbor KOA and its neighbor, Acadia National Park, are well known for their tranquility, magnificent scenery and the peace they offer visitors. Maine's world renowned coastline or deep wooded Maine forests welcome you on either side of this uniquely positioned campground. Ron, in his spare time loves to travel. He has been to 49 of our 50 states, and around the world visiting 37 different countries. Come meet Ron Frederick. |
